Terms of Service
Effective October 10, 2026
These terms cover your use of rolume.com, the Rolume receptionist service and the client portal. By requesting a demo, signing up, or using the portal, you agree to them. If you signed a separate service agreement with Rolume, that agreement controls wherever it differs from these terms.
What Rolume does
Rolume answers phone calls for your business with an AI receptionist, collects job details from callers, books visits inside the hours and arrival windows you give us, sends confirmation and review texts to your customers, and shows you the calls and bookings in a portal.
Plans, minutes and billing
Service is billed monthly on the plan you choose. Each plan includes a set number of call minutes per month. Minutes above your plan are billed per minute at the overage rate quoted to you at setup. A one-time setup fee applies when your account is created and is nonrefundable. Current plans and prices are shown on our pricing section, and the prices that apply to you are the ones in your signup or service agreement.
Your responsibilities
- Give us accurate business details, hours and arrival windows, and tell us when they change.
- Make sure you are allowed to forward your business calls to Rolume and to have those calls recorded. Call recording laws vary by state, and the receptionist states at the start of each call that it may be recorded.
- Only have texts sent to customers who gave their number on a call or otherwise agreed to be contacted by your business.
- Keep portal logins private, give each person their own login, and remove logins for people who leave your team.
- Review your bookings. The receptionist works from what callers say, and you remain responsible for confirming, scheduling and performing the work.
Not an emergency service
Rolume is not an emergency service and cannot dispatch emergency responders. Callers with a fire, a gas leak, carbon monoxide or any other danger to life or property should hang up and call 911 or their utility's emergency line. You are responsible for how your business handles urgent calls.
Accuracy and availability
The receptionist is automated. It can mishear a name, an address or a time, and it can occasionally be unavailable because of a phone carrier, internet or provider outage. We work to keep the service accurate and running, and the portal lets you listen to every call and flag one that went wrong, but we do not guarantee that every call will be answered or every detail captured correctly.
Your data
Your call recordings, transcripts and customer details are yours. We use them only to provide and improve the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask us to export or delete them.
Acceptable use
Do not use Rolume for unlawful calls or texts, to harass anyone, to send marketing texts to people who have not agreed to receive them, or to try to access another client's account or data.
Ending service
You can cancel by telling us in writing, including by email. Unless your service agreement says otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. We may suspend or end service for non-payment or for breaking these terms.
Refunds
The one-time setup fee and your first month's fee are nonrefundable. After your first month of service, you can ask for a refund of a monthly fee you have paid. Send the request in writing, including by email, within 30 days of the charge. Charges for extra minutes that were already used are not refunded.
Disclaimers and limits
The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the extent the law allows, Rolume is not liable for lost profits, lost business or indirect damages, including from a missed, misheard or mis-booked call, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and tell clients about significant changes before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
